So if you haven’t noticed, I've been doing some Day in the Life vids on Tiktok and Instagram- if you haven’t, what are you doing and go follow!
Anyway, I’ve realised that I live an interesting life. However, it is so frustrating to remember to film, so instead, I thought I’d attempt to explain the girl’s night day in the life of TikTok, which you can find on my account to follow along!
This week was so draining, and I was not prepared to tan, do a full face or just put in that level of effort. So, I settled on moisturiser, concealer, jeans, and my go-to live-in black top from Kookai (which is below).

Anyway, one of my girlfriends matched the vibe of layback and chill, and the other did the same with a matching pair of slingbacks- way too cute and matched my usual energy. So, forgetting to record, I got ready, picked out a cute fit, and picked up the girls.
The first thing about getting content is ensuring your girlfriends are supportive and willing to participate. It can be such a hassle to film if the girls don’t want to be involved, so I was grateful enough that mine was totally involved in it. So, after several retakes and me being a perfectionist, we got a cute clip of Chloe getting in the car and me filling up my car at the fuel station and then going to pick up Isa bel. The car rides were a giggle, which I forgot to record of course, but the convos we have are always the funniest and I am convinced we belong on a podcast.
After another couple of retakes with Isabel, we went to Carousel (my Perth girls will know) for the sushi train but were absolutely fuming with the parking dilemma. The uni girls know how hard it is to find parking for uni, but Carousel is a whole new level. This frustration, of course, was worth whipping the phone out for because I knew what was next would be the most anticlimactic evening to document. As a last resort, we got KFC and again forgot to film the conversations, which you know how it is with the girlfriends. Anyway, we left, and I went to drop the girls off and screamed, singing to Bruno and Lady Gaga’s Die with a smile, yet another thing that would have been gorgeous to film!!! These moments are as cute as they are to have on camera, but I think it’s amazing to just have them as a core memory. I dropped the girls home and got some clips of them leaving, and that was it!!!
Regarding a content day, I was not that pleased with the aesthetic. I think there’s much pressure for content to live an “aesthetic” and almost unachievable lifestyle and something to look up to, so I was a bit disappointed that I couldn’t achieve it to that level. Day in the Life Trends are hard and I think with some practice I could really get it and so could you!!
In terms of the day itself- I love my girls, and I love whatever time I have to spend with them. I know that after uni finishes, our pics and content will be great! No matter what pics or videos you get with your girls, the memories from screaming your hearts out to Bruno Mars will be a memory you will all have till you’re all retired.
Thanks, girlies
Yours truly
Em x
