So, this month’s spending has been a bit much, and we’re only halfway through the month. I would like to blame it on the uni stress and my incredible procrastination skills and more by plausible ability to validate any invalidated purchase I make. Especially considering I have been sick for this month up until now, all purchases have been from savings which girls I do not and I repeat do NOT recommend. So for no educational purposes whatsoever and for your personal entertainment, from clothes to shoes to hair curlers this is what I’ve chosen to purchase this month and my validation for all.

It's brown and I need a brown set!

Cari In Chocolate Distressed Pu/Gold – Peta and Jain

First, I need a brown bag to match the brown heels I purchased earlier this year. I also needed a brown bag for my Halloween fit because as much as I love my everyday black handbag, I needed a less expensive bag that I wouldn’t be devastated if Vodka got thrown at it. So, validated? I think so

Mermade PRO Hair Waver 32 mm pink – Mermade

I think we underestimate how hard it is for girls to find out what hairstyle suits them. Since each style looks different for everyone, it is a trial-and-error process, such as my hair journey. For example, in year seven, I went through my high ponytail phase, which unfortunately lasted until year nine, when one of the girls I danced with said it was time to move on. I did, of course, and went through three years of hairline rehabilitation, but that is not the point. The point is that since then, I have been executing straight hair to a T with my GHD straightener, and now I am mentally prepared for some diversity. So, I present my new phase of easy waves with the famous Mermade waver. Validated? I say yes. Also, it was on sale, so there’s no argument here.

Wolf black Espadrilles – Novo

So, these have been in my camera roll for the last three months. I could not tell you why I am so attached, but something about them gives me shoe-shaped butterflies. So imagine my surprise when I go on Novo’s website to look at the shoes again and notice the huge “SALE” label on the home page. That was it!!! I went to their store the next day, and I did it. I slid both feet into heaven-shaped slippers with the largest platform I have ever seen, and your girl stood up and felt like a Victoria’s Secret supermodel. Strutting into the store, the lovely lady working watched me smile until my jaw was in pain, and I knew they were mine. So rather than a transaction I look at this as a love story between me and a statement pair of wedges. Controversial but you can make up your mind.

Denver Slides in Black - Wildfire, Spendless

These slides are practical, fashionable and affordable. My favourite three things when shopping. Last summer, these were so in trend, and I think this is my time to catch up. These slides work with a basic dress in the back of your closet or cute little shorts and top. Also, more importantly, I weirdly see myself wearing these to Uni, which probably isn’t as weird as I think, considering how many men wear the “surfer bro aesthetic” run around in their Birks and high socks. This one is a risky choice, so opinions are welcome, but overall, they will be worn, and the “second pair half-price” deal at Spendless has me in a chokehold.

So, in conclusion, I feel these purchases this month have been validated through practicality, fashion and affordability. The sales now are worth looking at for my girls, who are too impatient to wait for Black Friday sales or just feel like a switch into spring gear. Of course, as always, let me know your thoughts on my IG or TikTok, where I already have a haul of my shoes on both, otherwise, let’s get in touch through my contact!

Yours,

Em x
